GUIDELINES TO AUTHORS

Common Guidelines for the Abstract and Extended Abstract Submission
  • Author(s)shall submit the abstract and extended abstract along with the author declaration form.
  • Abstract and extended abstract should be submitted as two separate word files via email (etakam@univ.jfn.ac.lk).
  • The extended abstracts are solely used for review purposes, and the accepted abstracts will be published in the Proceedings of the ETAKAM Research Conference-2022.
  • Abbreviations should be cited in full at the first occurrence.
  • Abstracts will be published in the Proceedings, if presented at the conference only.
  • The research work presented in the abstract should be original.
  • All correspondence regarding submitted papers will be addressed to the Corresponding author indicated in the author declaration form.
  • Non-English words should be in italics.
  • All queries related to submission shall be directed to the Chief Editor (edi.etakam@univ.jfn.ac.lk).
Guidelines for Preparing the Abstract
  • The abstract should be short, clear, concise, and coherent.
  • The abstract shall contain250-300 words.( excluding title, name/s of author/s, affiliations, and keywords).
  • The title should be a maximum of 100 characters with spaces, Font: Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold and sentence case.
  • The abstract should cover all aspects of the work carried out, i.e., introduction, objective(s), methodology, results and discussion, and conclusion.
  • Tables, figures, and photographs should not be included.
  • Keywords: a maximum of 5 keywords, Font: Times New Roman, 11pt, and italic.
  • The given format in the template for the abstract should be adopted.
Guidelines for Preparing the Extended Abstract
  • The extended abstract shall contain 1000-1500 words.
  • Tables and Figures should be included, if essential.
  • The title should be maximum 100 characters with spaces, Font: Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, sentence case and centred.
  • Extended abstract shall consist of Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • Font : Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, and justified.
  • References should be given in APA format (7th edition), Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, and 1.5 line spacing.
