Abstract submission guidelines
- The abstract, extended abstract along with the author declaration form should be uploaded.
- All submitted abstracts should report original and previously unpublished research results.
- All authors must read and approve the abstract prior to submission.

Format of the abstract
Title page:

- Title of the abstract (Font; 14, bold, Times New Roman) should be brief and clearly explain the study reported.
- Capital letters should be used only for the first word of the title and proper nouns.
- The titles should not generalize any findings.
- The names with initials and affiliations of all authors and the institutional address should appear below the title in font size; 12, Times New Roman.
- Leave a single space between the title and the author names.
- Leave no space between the author name(s) and the affiliations.
- Identify the presenting author by an underline and the corresponding author by an asterisk (*).
- The e-mail address of the corresponding author should be indicated below the institutional address of the author(s)

- The abstract should be a single paragraph, consists of 250 to 300 words. It should clearly state the purpose of the work, the procedures used to execute the work, and major findings with citation free.
- Page setting format
- Paper size: A4 (210 x 297 mm) typed single side only.
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Text alignment: Justify Margins: 2.5cm (1”) on all sides
- Keywords: Three to five keywords or phrases in alphabetical order, separated by commas
- No references, tables or figures should be included in the abstract
- Language: U.K English only
- Non-English terms: All non-English terms should be italicized. E.g. et al., viz, etc, in vivo, Yala, Maha
- All scientific names should be italicized. Both genus and species names should be mentioned at the first appearance and only the species name can be mentioned with abbreviated genus name subsequently. e.g. Clostridium botulinum and subsequently C.botulinum
- Software: Microsoft Word
Format of the extended abstract
The extended abstract should not exceed 1500 words.
- Introduction: Maximum of 350 words
- Materials and Methods: Maximum of 350 words
- Results, Discussions & Conclusions: Maximum of 800 words
- References: Maximum of 5 key references could be included [References should be written in “Harvard format”]
- Introduction: Author(s) should present the nature of the problem addressed by the study and position the work in the broader context of the field of study. Background material important for understanding the nature and impact of the study should be presented and appropriately referenced.
- Materials and Methods: This section should include the experimental materials, sampling procedures, experimental methods, experimental design and number of replicates and statistical methods adopted. Standard protocols should not be described in detail.
- Results, Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations: This section should include the results of the experiments and extensive interpretation of the results. Present the results as concisely as possible. The findings should be discussed in relation to previously published work where appropriate and to the experimental system at hand and should not contain extensive repetition of the results or reiteration of the introduction. If it is relevant, conclusions and recommendations can be given.
- Use minimum number of Table and Figures. Tables should be positioned in the relevant place in the text and prepared using MS word “Table format”. Do not use “tabs” or any graphics software to create tables.
- Figures should be positioned in the text and should be of high quality. Digital versions of Figures, preferably in JPEG or TIFF format should be sent separately. Figures should be presented with appropriate SD or SE values.
Review process
- Abstracts and Extended abstracts will be preliminarily reviewed by editorial board/ ICDA 2024, and the accepted ones will be further sent to a panel of experts, and those that are accepted by panel experts will be published in the conference proceeding.
- Authors of the accepted abstracts have the option to submit their full papers to the faculty journal titled “Journal of Dry Zone Agriculture”.
- But the full manuscripts will be evaluated separately as per the Journal of Dry Zone Agriculture guidelines and decision will be taken as per the editorial polices of Journal of Dry Zone Agriculture.

Oral/ Poster: The mode of presentation shall be decided by the editorial board of ICDA 2024 based on the recommendation of the reviewers
