The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna invites abstracts in the field of medicine for the Research Conference of Faculty of Medicine, Jaffna (RCFMJ-2022) to be held on the 6th of August 2022.
- Abstract submissions should be made electronically through our online abstract submission portal.
- Abstracts should represent the original work.
- You may be an author for more than one abstract. However, one author can present a MAXIMUM of two (02) abstracts.
- All research studies should have obtained ethics approval and should be able to submit if requested.
- All the authors should declare any conflict of interest in their presentation at the conference.
- The scientific committee reserves the right to make alterations and to edit text to improve the presentation.
- The abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by two reviewers.
- Please note that the corresponding author will receive all correspondence about the abstract.
- If a revision is required, the revised abstract must be sent back within the date indicated.
- If the abstract is accepted, the presenting author is required to register for the sessions.
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceeding.
- Abstracts not conforming to instructions will be rejected.
Structure of the abstract
- Abstract title: Follow English grammar rule for capitalization. Character limit = 150 (including spaces).
- Abstract text is limited to maximum of 350 words.
- Abstract layout – Abstracts should be structured as follows:
- Introduction
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
- List of keywords not exceeding 5.
- Format for the MS Word document
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12, single line spacing
- Title: Bold letters
Instructions for online abstract submission
- Abstracts have to be submitted through the online submission portal (CMT) only. Abstracts sent directly via Email or any other methods will not be considered as submission.
- The submission portal can be accessed through Faculty of Medicine or JUICE 2022 website or directly clicking the link for abstract submission indicated in the flyer.
- Please insert the relevant category in the cage given in the abstract submission portal.
- Please DO NOT include the title, names of the authors, institutions, sub-headings or any tables/graphs/figures or references within the body of the abstract. Only the main text of the abstract should be included.
- Please upload the word file of your abstract (without Author’s names and affiliation) and Author’s declaration form (word/pdf file).
